Volunteers are the lifeblood of any Little League organization and KPLL is no exception. There are many opportunities to help so if you're interested, please reach out!
Managers and Coaches
This is really the core of our league. Managers and coaches are front line with the kids, keeping them engaged and fostering a love of the sport. As the kids advance through the divisions, their skill levels increase and the games become more competitive. Manager and coach responsibilities increase too! But start small. Take a tee ball team and have fun playing with kids newly introduced to the sport. Take a Single A or Double A team and work out your arm coach pitching! As your coaching and managing skills improve, you can advance with the kids until you're ready to manage a Triple A, Majors or Jr./Sr. Team.
Team SupportCoaches and managers are always looking for help from parents. It allows them to focus on the task at hand - keeping those kids focused on learning the sport. While not an official role, make sure you're stepping up to volunteer in concession or maybe to help with team communications.
KPLL Board
Not everyone is set out to be a coach or a manager, but maybe they have some good organizational and leadership skills. Our board is the perfect opportunity for those types of individuals (although many of our board members also coach and manage). Many hands make light work and we welcome you with open arms if you can contribute. Reach out to our
existing board members if you have any questions about how things work. And if you have ideas for how our league can improve, let us know!
Background ChecksAs a volunteer, you are required to submit to background checks through both
Little League and the Bristol Police Department.
